James J. Peterson (Jimmy Joe)

Jimmy Joe was born and raised in rural Lanesboro along with 4 brothers and 5 sisters (or as his dad says “4 and 1 half dozen kids”). He moved to Houston, MN in 1975 where he graduated High School in 1977 w/ flying colors “mostly red” according to Jim.

In 1980 he moved back to the Lanesboro area where he met Karen Henderson. The two were married on 07/17/1982. They raised three wonderful kids: Denise, Jamie, and Christopher.

Jimmy Joe worked for a short time in construction and then entered the auto sales business in 1984. He continued to work and co-own the dealership until 2004.

In early 2005, Jimmy Joe joined the Linda Horihan Agency as a fully licensed insurance agent. He is licensed for all lines of business in MN and IA. Jimmy Joe looks forward to serving you in all facets of risk management.
