Originally from Rushford Minnesota, Rod is a graduate of Winona State University with a B.A. Degree in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. He has been an active agent since 1975. Before relocating to the Rochester area in 1988, he was an Agency Manager of the Waterloo, Iowa office for Allmerica Financial. In 2009 Rod merged his agency with the Linda Horihan Agency. Currently a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Rod has also served on the board of the Rochester and Waterloo NAIFA. He earned the (RHU) Registered Health Underwriter, (REBC) Registered Employee Benefits Consultant from the American College and Advanced Charter Benefits Consultant from the National Association of Alternative Benefit Consultants. Rod and his wife Gayle are very active in community affairs. They are also the proud parents and grandparents of three daughters and four grandchildren.
