You may know us as the Linda Horihan Agency, as the Horihan name has been a fixture in Southeast Minnesota since 1989. As Horihan Insurance, we continue to provide the same wide variety of services we always have. If you’re not familiar with our work, let this be our introduction to you. Going forward we’ll be providing monthly, insurance-specific posts.
As an agency, we provide a one-stop opportunity to consider all your options, to ensure you the coverage that best fits your situation. And by representing a wide variety of companies, we aim to provide you with the most cost-effective insurance coverage possible, or fill in gaps in the coverage you already have.
With branch offices in Rochester, Minnesota City, Rushford and Lewiston, we take pride in knowing the people and the communities we serve in southeast Minnesota, while making our name known in Wisconsin and Iowa and beyond. Also, though our footprint has widened, we will come to meet with you at your convenience.

Creighton and Charles Horihan actually are farmers. They just don’t have a jingle to say so. They have lived the life, so they know what farmers are looking for to make their farm operation successful. Though they specialize in farm and crop insurance, Horihan Insurance for them is also a labor of love, carrying the torch for their mother Linda, our founder. They are based in the Rushford and Lewiston offices along with Jim Peterson and Craig Smith respectively.
In the Rochester office, Cheri Ness has 25 years of experience in health insurance including Medicare, individual as well as small business group health, and disability coverage. Plenty of experience to guide you through the ins and outs, the ups and downs, as they come in the ever-changing health insurance world. That, combined with Nikki Becker’s 16 years of experience in commercial insurance – property, liability, BOP, Work Comp, Umbrella, flood, cyber-liability etc. – gives you a specialized hub of service in the city of Rochester. Both Cheri and Nikki also write home and auto insurance.
Sharon Davy-Gamer knows small businesses and knows the Winona area as if it were her own backyard – because it kind of is. She and the newest member of our team, Robert Knowles, provide the personalized service in home, auto and health insurance that you value.
